This 4th of July, Geaux Ride is excited to announce Geaux 4th!

Join us for this Summer of Hope event presented by Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome and Geaux Ride. Geaux 4th will take place on Thursday, July 4th, from 6 PM to 10 PM in beautiful downtown Baton Rouge at Geaux Ride's glow-in-the-dark boutique.

During the annual fireworks show over the Mississippi River, Geaux Ride will be providing free 20-minute bicycle tours of downtown Baton Rouge. Dress in your best red, white, and blue attire and join thousands of guests from around the country to celebrate Baton Rouge's Fourth of July Spectacular. This evening-long event of fun will culminate with a breathtaking fireworks display overlooking the mighty Mississippi River.

Join the celebrations happening all over the city and experience the Fireworks Extravaganza Show in Downtown Baton Rouge on the Mississippi during the evening of the Fourth!

We are proud to continue the tradition created by the Manship Family for over 50 years by providing the largest fireworks show in Louisiana with WBRZ's Fireworks on the Mississippi. This year, the fireworks display can be viewed from either side of the Mississippi River, in Downtown Baton Rouge or Port Allen. We encourage the public to join us in our annual tradition of honoring our great nation. The patriotic celebration will be on Thursday, July 4, 2023, at 9:00 PM.

Summer of Hope is a community-led initiative focused on peace, joy, and opportunity. It is part of the Safe Hopeful Healthy Baton Rouge initiative, leveraging community organizations and events to bring hope directly to neighborhoods, streets, and families affected by violence.

At Geaux Ride, we believe in sharing the collective voice of Baton Rouge. The Peace Pitstop is an outlet for every voice in Baton Rouge, promoting peace, joy, and opportunity across the city through poetry, artwork, surveys, and more. We are on a mission to push peace to every neighborhood and heal together.

As part of our impact strategy, we aim to build concentrated synergy around summer violence reduction efforts in Baton Rouge. We amplify positive activities throughout the summer and provide proactive mitigation and intervention in our most vulnerable neighborhoods.

Over the next 8 weeks, our focus will be on the following areas in North Baton Rouge Parish: Banks, Zion, Brookstown, Melrose East, Belaire, Glen Oaks, Bottoms, Tigerland, The Park, Dixie, and Gardere. Geaux Ride will organize engaging events that spark joy, creativity, and fun, fostering a spirit of hope in the community.

We are currently seeking 12 retail vendors, 4 food vendors, and 4 food trucks to participate in Geaux 4th. Thanks to Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome's Summer of Hope, vendor participation is available free of charge.

We look forward to celebrating this 4th of July with you at Geaux 4th and spreading hope, joy, and opportunity in Baton Rouge.
